Deaths From Criminal Gambling Casinos.

"Austerity", a word that the West has come to live with for almost a decade now. Those in the gilded cage of privilege and power weave an illusion round the word, slipping it in as, "balancing the books", "living within your means" or "getting the economy back on its feet", all of which is hogwash and cod-swill. It is actually the public banded about word that replaces the use of the truth, that it is an ideological plank for the rich and powerful to recoup their gambling loses, by plundering the ordinary people of this world.
The system by which the quality of our lives depend is one large gambling casino, where the rich and powerful shuffle trillions of dollars around the various gambling tables within the casino. These are called stock markets, hedge funds, and financial investment funds, and other such fanciful names. Of course they don't sit up all night bleary eyed personally shuffling their ill-gotten gains, they have financial institutions that do all that for them. From this casino, unlike the ones that the more pleb like individuals frequent, they make vast amounts of money from this casino. Periodically the system goes wrong and the lose big time. That's when "austerity" comes in, they have got to get their money back, unlike you when you leave  gambling casino with empty pockets. Since their system is bust, the only place left to rip-off is the public purse.
So what "austerity" really means slashing money from public services. We are brain washed into accepting that there is no money, so all social service have to be cut, savings have to be made, efficiency cuts have to be administered, but we always have enough money for wars. What the word "austerity" translates into is poverty and deprivation for the many, death to many others and endless wars.  "Austerity" is a crime, it is not a victimless crime, people die from the direct results of "austerity". Recent studies by Oxford and Cambridge Universities and the University of London, have revealed the staggering cost in human life by the obnoxious word "austerity".

This from World Socialist Web Site, thanks for the link Loam:
A joint report by Oxford and Cambridge Universities and the University of London (UCL) finds that savage cuts to the UK National Health Service (NHS) and Social Care provision could result in nearly 200,000 “excess” deaths by the end of 2020 in England.
“The effects of health and social care spending constraints on mortality in England: a time trend analysis,” published in the British Medical Journal, BMJOpen, estimates 45,000 extra deaths have occurred between 2009 and 2014 and predicts a further 152,141 deaths from 2015 to 2020—a staggering 100 a day.
The research links increasing mortality rates to the cuts to health and social care spending, first begun under a Labour government, then continued by successive Conservative governments to pay for the £1 trillion bailout of the banks after the 2008 global financial collapse.
“From 2001 to 2010,” it states, “the absolute number of deaths in England decreased by an average of 0.77% per year. From 2011 to 2014, the number of deaths increased by an average of 0.87% per year.”

"Austerity" is a crime carried out deliberately, by people, fully aware of the consequences on other people, it is not the result of some natural law, though the rich and powerful would like you think it was. Those imposing, administering, and enforcing the policies necessary for their "austerity" recouping plan are criminals in every sense of the word. However, it is only the people that can bring them to justice by bring down the the whole festering cancer that is the gambling casino, and that can only be down if we bring down capitalism the greed driven system that feeds the casino.
For more damning figures that flow from the criminal act of "austerity" read the full article HERE:

Protest June 29th. at The Scottish Parliament.

Lots of groups and individuals are coming together to protest outside the Scottish parliament this coming Thursday June 29th.. This will be the culmination of a week of  lobbying and protests, June 23rd. to June 30th. regarding the introduction of PIP and its assessment system, I hope it is a massive turnout. I'm all in favour of protesting and lobbying at the seat of power, but we should never lose sight of the fact that tinkering around the edges of this corrupt and exploitative system, will not end the struggles of the ordinary people, nor stop the plundering of the public resources. We have attack the root cause of our problems, capitalism, the need is to organise to bring the system down. We need to by-pass it, circumvent it, short circuit it, strive for control of our communities and workplaces. We don't need the boss class and their politicians, but they need us.

Reality Or A TV Farce???

So for a moment, let’s think of the world we live in, and by our daily grinding labour, support and maintain, the world that the babbling brook of bullshit, the mainstream media tells us, is the best way to live our lives. A world that if we decided we no longer wish to tolerate, we could bring crashing down.
It is a world of pampered parasites draped in ermine, with their snouts deeply stuck in the trough of public money. A world of corporate bosses with their private jets and super yachts, plundering the wealth that we create. A cabal of callous self seeking, careerist politicians, who with empire in mind, legislate life and death of the poor, while protecting bonuses for the rich, and ensuring austerity for the many. A world where an abundance of wealth slushes around, but never finds its way to those, the ordinary people, who create that wealth.
If we wrote this as a story for TV, we could understand it as a far fetched tale of greed, corruption, of exploitation, and injustice, but as a reality, created by our own sweat and blood, well it beggars belief.
Home to the many.

  ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

MUST WE TOLERATE
the giggling audacity of the rich
midst the pitiful anguish of the poor,
those boated cavaliers
using pillage to secure
their lives of arrogant excess,
a pirate's plundering tour.

WHERE IS IT WRITTEN
that this world must be
a place where the many toil and sweat
grinding out their meagre existence
in poverty, hunger and debt,
while the hubristic greedy few
live the life of a pampered pet.

LET'S TRY AGAIN
no more war, no deprivation
a world of sharing, a world of giving
a chance for all to grow and prosper
in a culture of friendship and forgiving.
With true love and understanding
we can create a new way of living.

Resistance Is A Duty.

Is this getting organised, or just making a noise? We have to do something, or we will end up living in a totally privatised world, with the corporate bosses in full control. Though they are not that far off that position today. Under such a sustained attack on the ordinary people of this country, resistance on all fronts, is a duty, solidarity is our weapon for victory.
This from The People's Assembly:

Just three weeks since we launched the call for a week long protest & festival against the The Conservative Party Conference and we've been overwhelmed by the support from the public, organisations & campaigns. These events now have massive potential and it’s time to spread the excitement.  The Tories think they can take over Manchester from 4-7 October. They want to dominate the headlines with their politics of austerity, with their plans to further rip apart the welfare state. Let’s stop this from happening!
The People's Assembly, alongside unions, campaigns and local groups, is co-ordinating a national week of action in Manchester throughout their conference. All day, everyday, that they are there, we will be too. Coaches and transport is being organised from across the country. We are appealing to as many people as possible to take off a couple of days from work and stay for as much of the activity as you can.
Events will include a national demonstration (Sunday 4 October), meetings on topics including: Privatisation, Save our NHS, Climate Change, Education, TTIP, Europe, alternatives to austerity. Plus theatre performances, workshops, direct action, People's Cinema, comedy, music, flash mobs, tent cities & more...
Participants throughout the week include:
Jeremy Corbyn MP, Frankie Boyle, Charlotte Church, Sam Fairbairn, Frances O'Grady, Len McCluskey, Mark Serwotka, Julie Hesmondhalgh, Owen Jones, John Hillary, Terry Christian, Sam Duckworth, Kate Marlow, Mark McGowan, Kevin Maguire, Francesca Martinez, Mark Steel, Jeremy Hardy, Dave Ward, Sara Pascoe, David Walker (Bishop of Manchester), Lindsey German...and more to be announced!
Accomodation:
The People's Assembly will be providing cheap accommodation for a couple of quid a night. This won't be glamorous . As it stands we are booking a large sports centre in the evenings where people can sleep. Toilets & shower facilities will be available and we're in discussions with organisations about providing discounted food for those staying over. You'll need to bring a sleeping bag and camping mat. We'll organise somewhere to store bags and belongings during the day. Full details and booking will be available in the next couple of weeks. Alternatively you can book yourself into hostels or hotels. Click here for local hostels We'll keep you updated with all arrangements.
Transport:
Keep checking the People's Assembly website for updates about what coaches have been booked, where they are picking up from and when.
Let’s get organised!!

NO, The Start Of An Arduous Journey.

So the people of Greece have said NO to the truncheon of the financial Mafia, they have suffered enough as the banksters try to recoup their gambling loses. I have been a frequent visitor to Greece over the years and have seen it transformed from a pleasant place to live, among a friendly people, to a pit of deprivation, beggars have spread like a virus, social structures have collapsed, stress and trauma are everywhere. None of this was because of the actions of the ordinary people of Greece, it was all engineered by the financial Mafia in an attempt to shore up their crumbling financial house of cards. They will gladly sacrifice a whole land of people, sinking them into the mire of perpetual poverty, looking only at their balance sheets. We should all take a good look at this scenario, none of us are special to the financial Mafia, we can all be sacrificed at the altar of Mammon, if the banksters see that as a way of protecting their edifice of illusionary money.
What does it feel like to live in Greece today, surrounded by a crumbling society, watching friends and family suffer for no reason of their own.
This letter was sent to ft.com and gives some idea of what the people of Greece have been, and are going through. We owe them our support and solidarity in their fight to free themselves from this bludgeoning by the financial Mafia.
Sir, Memory. No memory of life before the financial crisis; politics has dominated it ever since. But now I can hardly remember life before Friday night. Fear. I am terrified of tomorrow, all I now see is black. Uncertainty, leading us through our days, every remainder of hope for a brighter future being destroyed by the minute. I look at my three-year-old niece, I envy her ignorance, I envy her age. I am 21 years old and the past few days I feel tired by life. A referendum that supposedly gives me the right to define my future, seems to have taken it away.
There are hundreds of people queueing at the ATMs and petrol stations, there is silence in the streets, people’s faces are frozen. This is the reality since Friday night. There are, and have been for a long time, people literally starving. However, it seems that instead of their situation improving, the rest of us will have no different a fate.
Families and friends divide in Yes and No camps. We are called to exercise our democratic right by voting on a referendum while having no tangible explanation of what will follow each decision. I see everyone I know ready to take this huge responsibility without even being prepared to do so. I notice us, arguing endlessly, everyone supporting their stance fervently, ego dominating minds and words, while having no clue as to what is really at stake.
We all want the crisis to end, we all crave growth and happiness. I do not remember my parents being free of stress and anxiety in the past years. I do not remember not noticing shops closing every month, or the rapid increase of beggars in the streets. People that, before the financial crisis, never had to beg for anything. However, the past five days have been worse than all that has been so far. They say that all we hear is propaganda; but we have lost our trust in all sides, now everything seems to be lies.
It feels like an end. The end of our lives as we knew them. Yes, the lives that, before Friday, we already thought could be better; now we realise they were better then. The only thing we truly wish for is that the worst is not yet to come.
Iliana Magra
Thessaloniki, Greece
The people of Greece face an extremely hard time, NO may have been the right decision, but it is not an immediate panacea. You can rest assured the the financial Mafia will not back off easily, they will do their damnedest to crush the Greek resistance to their dictates. Their are extremely hard times ahead for the people of Greece, and their answer lies in their own hands, they have to break the shackles of the economic system that binds them to the banksters model of exploitation. There are groups in Greece that are pointing to the answer, people taking control of their own country free from the mantra of profit and illusionary growth.

From Glasgow To Greece.

Glasgow stands with the people of Greece against austerity. In spite of the usual Glasgow crap weather, there was a reasonable turnout. Well done to all those involved I'm sure there are many more people than those who turned up in the lousy weather, standing behind the people of Greece in their bitter struggle with the financial Mafia.

It's important to support the struggle of these students in Edinburgh to build a stronger movement in this city and beyond. This occupation is not just about sustainability and green economy but taking action for the only world we have, against the neoliberal management of our lives and the oppression of local communities all over the world. If we link the fight of the students with those of the workers, unemployed, immigrants and disabled in this city we can be stronger and more successful. Let this be the beginning of a hot summer of dissent.

The Brink Of something Special!!

It is not often, if at all, that I can thank the Tories for something. What I think the new Bullingdon Boys cabal In the Westminster House of Hypocrisy and Corruption have done, is unite the ordinary people across this country. Their arrogance as the feel the glow of their new found power will encourage them to go into full throttle attack. The start will be their £12 billion of cuts that are aimed at the the poorest and most vulnerable in our society, but will impact on all our communities. What £12 billion amounts to is roughly taking £545 from every household in the country. Some people are going to get really clobbered.
Approximately 70,000 will be affected by the benefit cap, more than 21,000 will suffer when they scrap the housing benefit for under 21 year olds, then there will be roughly 150,000 18 to 21 year olds hit when the scrap the job-seekers allowance and replace it with a six month payment. Between now and 2020, a million more families will have to pay the bedroom tax, the average payment over the five years under this bunch of millionaire parasites will be approximately £3,800. Iain Duncan Smith has already cut the financial help available to Bedroom Tax victims by 24%. Discretionary Housing Payments to local authorities which provide a lifeline to hardship cases were slashed from £165million to £125million last month. There is also talk of increasing the bedroom tax to an average of £25. In those dark corridors of power, there has even been discussions of abolishing statutory maternity pay. Then there is their intention to bring more anti-union legislation.
Of course it is not all screwing the people, there are those higher up the financial ladder that are in the buddies club of the Bullingdon Boys, who will be handed some sweeties. The threshold at which the higher 40% tax rate is paid, will be raised, the top rate of 45% tax will be scrapped, and the level at which inheritance tax is paid will be raised. A little thank-you to those managers of the system.
Recently in Downing Street, Mr Cameron's FREE home, paid for by you and I, he stated that “We are on the brink of something special.” Well I think we are, I think the people of this country will not sit about and be shafted by a bunch Oxbridge parasites who hold power by only receiving 36.8% of the voters support, 63.2% didn't want them. It is now time to do something about that total lack of democracy.
Marching from A to B waving banners and chanting, though worth doing to raise the profile of the dissent, but it will not be enough on its own. We have to use our imagination and come up with a variety of tactics, in our communities and workplaces, in town and city centres. In words of the Tory parasites, “ we are all in this together”. We have suffered under the yoke of this system for generations, and it is not getting any easier. As a class we can sort this out, we have the power, the ability and the imagination. Let's come together and fight like our lives depend on it, because they do!!
There are a series of events and protests coming up, broadcast them, take part in them, organise your own event, but do your damnedest to be part of it.
Here are some of the events coming up:
Glasgow, Peterborough, Manchester, Sheffield, Cardiff, Winchester, Newcastle, Leeds and many more to come – please feel free to leave details of upcoming events, protests or actions in the comments.
Class War and the National Coalition Against Fees and Cuts (NCAFC) have both called a protest in Central London on the day of the state opening of Parliament, May 27th – keep it free.
A massive demonstration wil be taking place in the City of London on the 20th June.
Please help spread the word about all events and let’s make them huge.
Remember, "We are on the brink of something special."

Capitalist Success Breeds Mass Unrest.

I didn't see much of the riots and mass demonstrations that were going on in Frankfurt, appear in our babbling brook of bullshit, the mainstream media. Somehow or other, mass anti-austerity demonstrations on the streets of Europe's most "successful" capitalist nation state, was not considered suitable for mass distribution. Of course we expect that sort of manipulation of events from the corporate owned babbling brook of bullshit, so we seek our information elsewhere. The demonstrations started at the opening ceremony of the new multi-billion Euro headquarters of the ECB, a player in the financial Mafia cabal, known as the Troika, (ECB, European Central Bank, EC, European Commission, IMF, International Mankind Fuckers). It brought thousands onto the streets, who displayed their anger and dissatisfaction with the present system of blatant exploitation.
Obviously on the wrong diet.

The Financial Mafia Rules.

A rare scene took place in Greece yesterday, February 5th. thousands of people gathered in Syntagma Square in front of the Greek parliament to voice their support for the new government's anti-austerity policies. When have we seen people gather in their thousands to support the Greek government?
The People.
Greece's new finance minister, Yanis Varoufakis, has returned from his European tour with not much to show for his efforts. He got rumblings of support from those countries who, like his country, are circling the drain-hole in this world of financially controlled madness, but short shrift from the one that holds the purse strings, Germany. Meanwhile, the Greek banks are re-assuring the public that the Greek banks are safe. That may come back to haunt them if there is no agreement by February 28.
All these brute force tactics by the financial Mafia, fighting to protect is precious bond market bubble, goes on while the people of Greece and other European countries suffer ever increasing poverty and deprivation. In the world of the financial Mafia, the people count for nothing. This battle between the Greek government and the Western Financial Mafia makes clear who controls the show, it is certainly not the elected government of any European country.
 Rulers of the World.
What we are witnessing is the true picture, the financial Mafia attempting to keep its control over the economies of European countries intact, in a bid to protect itself. The elected governments are expected to follow the dictate of the financial moguls, irrespective of the wishes of the people. Failing this the financial leeches will heap greater misery and deprivation on the people. Suffering of the people is not on their balance sheets. Our so called democracy is an illusion and it is wearing ever thinner.

Solidarity With All Strkers.

We all know that the corporate world, like the government, pick off groups one at a time. One moment it is the teachers, then the  disabled, then the train drivers, then the nurses, then the unemployed, but we should realise that it is all part of the same attack on the conditions of all the ordinary people. It is all part of their grand plan for a low wage economy, one that can allow the Western corporate giants to compete with the Eastern sweatshops. So when one group of our people are attacked, it is an attack on us all. Solidarity is our most powerful weapon.
This from The People's Assembly Against Austerity.

Strike support
This week in Doncaster, 150 nurses who look after adults with learning difficulties started a 7 day strike after being handed devastating pay cuts of up to 50%. Care UK was given the contract by Doncaster Council last September. Care UK’s immediate decision to attack the wages and conditions of the workforce tells us all we need to know about why the government are out to privatise the NHS.
On the 26 March, the National Union of Teachers have called a national strike in England and Wales. Already, Gove has backed down on working time and conditions. Now, the strike action has a real chance to win against an increasingly weak government. We are asking every People's Assembly supporter to help make sure these strikes are supported in our communities, and that solidarity is shown from the whole movement.
The NUT is organising a series of street stalls across the country in the run up to the strike to mobilise public support. If you can, please get down to one and help out. Contact your local NUT or People's Assembly group for details.
